Ingredients
For the Cake
- 1 box (15.25 oz/432 g) vanilla or white cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- ¾ cup (180 ml) vegetable oil
- 1 cup (240 ml) sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Strawberry Swirl
- ½ cup (160 g) strawberry preserves
- ½ cup (100 g) light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
For the Strawberry Glaze
- 2 cups (240 g) powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons strawberry preserves
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

- Fresh sliced strawberries
- Freeze-dried strawberry crumbs
- White chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, beat together the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, sour cream, and vanilla until smooth.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Spread half of the cake batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Dollop the strawberry preserves over the batter and gently swirl with a knife.
- Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the preserves.
- Spread the remaining batter on top and smooth the surface.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for 15 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, strawberry preserves, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Add more milk if needed for a pourable consistency.
- Pour the glaze over the warm cake and spread evenly.
- Garnish with fresh strawberries, freeze-dried strawberry crumbs, or white chocolate shavings, if desired.
