Soft Air Fryer Eggs (Soft-Boiled Style)
Making soft eggs in the air fryer is quick and easy. The yolks stay creamy while the whites are fully set.
Ingredients
- Large eggs (as many as your air fryer basket can hold)
- Ice water (for an ice bath)
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer
- Preheat to 270°F (130°C) for 3 minutes (if your air fryer has a preheat function).
- Cook the Eggs
- Place the eggs in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook at 270°F (130°C) for:
- 9 minutes – Very runny yolk
- 10 minutes – Soft, jammy yolk
- 11 minutes – Creamy, slightly firmer yolk
- 13–14 minutes – Fully hard-boiled
- Ice Bath
- Immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water for 5 minutes to stop the cooking.
- Peel and Serve
- Gently crack and peel the eggs under cool running water.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
Serving Ideas
- Avocado toast
- Buttered toast soldiers
- Breakfast sandwiches
- Ramen
- Grain bowls
- Salads
- Toasted bagels
Tips
- Cooking times can vary by air fryer model and egg size. Test one egg first to find your preferred doneness.
- Eggs straight from the refrigerator may need about 1 extra minute.
- The ice bath makes the eggs easier to peel and helps keep the yolks soft and creamy.
