Pork Chop Supreme
Pork Chop Supreme is a comforting baked casserole featuring juicy pork chops, tender potatoes, onions, and a rich, creamy mushroom sauce topped with melted cheese.
Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
- 4–6 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 medium Yukon Gold or russet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 (10.5 oz / 300 g) can cream of mushroom soup
- ½ cup (120 ml) milk
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven
- Preheat to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly grease a 9 × 13-inch baking dish.
- Season and brown the pork
- Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brown the pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side (they do not need to be fully cooked).
- Transfer to a plate.
- Layer the casserole
- Arrange the sliced potatoes in an even layer in the baking dish.
- Top with the sliced onions.
- Place the browned pork chops over the potatoes.
- Make the sauce
- In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the pork chops and potatoes.
- Bake
- Cover tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 60 minutes.
- Add the cheese
- Remove the foil and sprinkle the cheddar and Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake uncovered for an additional 15–20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Rest and serve
- Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley.

Tips
- Thinly slice the potatoes so they cook evenly.
