High-Protein Banana Pudding
This High-Protein Banana Pudding is rich, creamy, and naturally sweet with ripe bananas and vanilla. Made with Greek yogurt and protein powder, it’s a healthier twist on the classic dessert that’s perfect for breakfast, a post-workout snack, or a guilt-free treat.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1½ cups (340 g) plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop (about 30 g) vanilla protein powder
- 1 (3.4 oz / 96 g) package instant vanilla pudding mix (sugar-free or regular)
- 1 cup (240 ml) cold milk (dairy or unsweetened almond milk)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
For Layering (Optional)
- 1 banana, sliced
- 12–16 vanilla wafers (or high-protein cookies)
- Light whipped topping
- Crushed vanilla wafers for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant pudding mix for 2 minutes, until it begins to thicken.
- Add the Greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder, mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and cinnamon (if using). Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Refrigerate for 10 minutes to allow the pudding to fully set.
- In serving glasses or bowls, layer the pudding with banana slices and vanilla wafers, if using.
- Repeat the layers until the glasses are full.
- Top with light whipped topping, extra banana slices, and crushed wafers before serving.
Tips
- Use very ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes for the best texture.
- Vanilla or banana-flavored protein powder works especially well.
