Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lightly flour a work surface and unfold the thawed puff pastry.
- Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.
- If using, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each square.
- Place a slice or two of ham on one half of each square.
- Top with shredded cheese and a sprinkle of dried parsley.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form rectangles or triangles.
- Press the edges together with a fork to seal.
- Whisk the egg with the water to make an egg wash and brush it over each pastry.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds or your preferred topping, if desired.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and deep golden brown.
- Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Air Fryer Method

- Place the prepared puff pastry pockets in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and the pastry is fully cooked.
- Cook in batches if necessary.
Tips
- Keep the puff pastry cold until you’re ready to use for the best rise.
- Don’t overfill the pockets, or the cheese may leak out.
