Here’s an easy, flavorful garlic butter chicken recipe that’s ready in about 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or 4 thighs), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)
Instructions
- Season the chicken with paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Lower the heat to medium. Melt the butter in the same pan.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until fragrant (don’t let it brown).
- Return the chicken to the pan and toss to coat in the garlic butter.
- Stir in parsley and lemon juice, if using.
- Cook for another 1–2 minutes and serve hot.
Serving Ideas
- Steamed rice
- Mashed potatoes
- Buttered pasta
- Roasted vegetables
- Garlic bread
Tip: For a creamy version, stir in ½ cup of heavy cream and ¼ cup of grated Parmesan after cooking the garlic. Simmer for 2–3 minutes before adding the chicken back to the pan.
