This Air Fryer Fish Fillet with Lemon & Fine Herbs is light, flaky, and bursting with fresh citrus and herb flavor. It’s a healthy meal that’s ready in under 20 minutes and pairs perfectly with vegetables, potatoes, or rice.
Ingredients
- 4 white fish fillets (cod, haddock, tilapia, pollock, or halibut), about 6 oz (170 g) each
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried Italian herbs (or a mix of parsley, thyme, oregano, and basil)
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Optional Garnishes
- Lemon slices
- Fresh parsley or dill
- Fresh thyme
- Extra lemon wedges
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, garlic, Italian herbs, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Brush the mixture evenly over both sides of the fish fillets.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with a little oil.
- Arrange the fillets in a single layer, leaving space between them.
- Air fry at 390°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. The fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Carefully remove the fillets and garnish with fresh parsley, dill, and lemon slices.
Tips
- Thicker fillets may need an extra 1–2 minutes of cooking.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for even cooking.
- Fresh herbs provide the brightest flavor, but dried herbs work well too.
- A light spray of oil helps achieve a beautifully golden finish.
