- Sliced avocado
- Cooked bacon or ham
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Lightly butter both sides of each bread slice.
- Use the back of a spoon to gently press down the center of each slice, creating a shallow well for the egg.
- Place the bread slices in the air fryer basket.
- Carefully crack one egg into the center of each slice.
- Season with salt and black pepper. Add cheese or other toppings if desired.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for:
- 6–7 minutes for a runny yolk
- 8–9 minutes for a soft-set yolk
- 10–11 minutes for a fully cooked yolk
- Carefully remove the toast from the air fryer and garnish with chives or everything bagel seasoning before serving.
Tips
- Thick-cut bread works best to hold the egg without becoming soggy.
- If using large eggs, make sure the bread has a deep enough indentation to prevent the egg from spilling.
- Air fryer cooking times may vary, so check the eggs a minute early the first time you make them.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle shredded cheese over the toast during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
