Easy Air Fryer Egg on Toast

Ingredients
- 2 slices thick bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese (optional)
- Chopped chives or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 2–3 minutes.
- Lightly butter both slices of bread.
- Using the back of a spoon, gently press down the center of each slice to create a shallow well.
- Place the bread in the air fryer basket and carefully crack one egg into the center of each slice.
- Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, if using.
- Air fry for 6–8 minutes, depending on how runny or firm you like the yolk:
- 6 minutes: Soft, runny yolk
- 7 minutes: Jammy yolk
- 8 minutes: Fully set yolk
- If adding cheese, sprinkle it over the toast during the last 1–2 minutes of cooking.
- Garnish with chopped chives or parsley and serve immediately.
