Crispy Garlic Beef Bites
Tender on the inside, crispy on the outside, and coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, these beef bites make a quick and flavorful dinner or appetizer.
Ingredients
For the Beef
- 1½ lbs (680 g) sirloin steak or beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
For the Garlic Butter Sauce
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Season the Beef
- Pat the beef dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, toss the beef with the cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated.
2. Cook the Beef
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the beef in a single layer, working in batches if needed.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, until browned and crispy on all sides.
- Transfer the cooked beef to a plate.
3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- Reduce the heat to medium.
- Melt the butter in the same skillet.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
- Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, and red pepper flakes (if using).
4. Finish
- Return the beef to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes until heated through.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
