Air Fryer Cod
Ingredients
- 2 cod fillets (about 170–200 g / 6–7 oz each)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley or Italian seasoning
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F) for 3–5 minutes.
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
- Brush both sides with olive oil.
- Mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, and pepper, then sprinkle evenly over the fish.
- Place the cod in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, depending on thickness. The fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 63°C (145°F).
- Serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.
Optional Variations
- Lemon Butter: Brush with melted butter mixed with lemon juice before serving.
- Parmesan Crust: Sprinkle 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan over the fillets during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Spicy: Add ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper or chili flakes to the seasoning.
Serving Suggestions
- Air fryer potatoes or fries
- Steamed broccoli or green beans
- Rice or quinoa
- Garden salad
Tip: Avoid overcrowding the basket so the cod cooks evenly and develops a lightly crisp exterior.
