Candied Kielbasa Bites

Ingredients
- 2 pounds (900 g) kielbasa sausage, sliced into ½-inch rounds
- 1 cup (220 g) packed brown sugar
- ½ cup (120 ml) barbecue sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange the kielbasa slices in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, barbecue sauce, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Pour the sauce evenly over the kielbasa and toss gently to coat.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, stirring once halfway through, until the sauce is thick, bubbly, and caramelized.
- Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm with toothpicks.
Slow Cooker Method
- Place the sliced kielbasa in the slow cooker.
- Mix together the sauce ingredients and pour over the kielbasa.
- Stir to coat, cover, and cook on Low for 2–3 hours or High for 1–1½ hours, stirring once if possible.
- Serve directly from the slow cooker to keep the bites warm.
Air Fryer Method
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Toss the kielbasa slices with the sauce mixture.
- Arrange in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until caramelized and lightly crisp around the edges.
