Ingredients
- 4 large Russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp coarse sea salt
- ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly, then pat them completely dry.
- Pierce each potato 5–6 times with a fork.
- Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle evenly with sea salt and black pepper.
- Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet lined with foil.
- Bake for 45–60 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes, until the skins are crisp and a fork slides easily into the center.
- Remove from the oven and let the potatoes rest for 5 minutes.
- Slice each potato open lengthwise and gently fluff the inside with a fork.
- Add butter and your favorite toppings before serving.
