Ingredients
- 2 ribeye steaks (10–12 oz / 280–340 g each), about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Garlic Herb Butter (Optional)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
- ½ teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary or thyme
Instructions
- Remove the steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking to bring them closer to room temperature.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Pat the steaks dry with paper towels.
- Rub both sides with olive oil, then season evenly with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Place the steaks in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.
