Ingredients
- 2 large Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
For Serving
- Ketchup
- Ranch dressing
- Garlic aioli
- Sour cream
Instructions
- Wash and scrub the potatoes well. Slice them into ¼-inch (6 mm) thick rounds.
- Soak the potato slices in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat the slices completely dry with paper towels.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Arrange the potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 15–18 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through cooking, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the potatoes during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Tips
- Soaking the potatoes helps make them crispier.
- Dry the potato slices thoroughly before seasoning.
- Avoid overcrowding the basket so hot air can circulate evenly.
- For extra crispiness, lightly spray the potatoes with cooking oil halfway through cooking.
