Air Fryer Poached Eggs
Making poached eggs in the air fryer is simple and mess-free. The eggs come out with tender whites and soft, runny yolks—perfect for toast, avocado, or eggs Benedict.
Ingredients (Makes 2 Eggs)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup (120 ml) hot water
- Cooking spray or 1 teaspoon butter (for greasing the ramekins)
Equipment
- 2 oven-safe ramekins (4–6 oz each)
- Air fryer
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer
- Preheat to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Prepare the Ramekins
- Lightly grease each ramekin with cooking spray or butter.
- Pour ¼ cup hot water into each ramekin.
- Add the Eggs
- Crack one egg into each ramekin.
- Air Fry
- Carefully place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
- Cook at 350°F (175°C) for:
- 5–6 minutes for a runny yolk
- 7–8 minutes for a jammy yolk
- 9–10 minutes for a firm yolk
- Remove the Eggs
- Carefully lift the eggs out of the water with a slotted spoon.
- Drain briefly on a paper towel.
- Season and Serve
- Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Garnish with chopped chives or parsley, if desired.

Tips
