Air Fryer Poached Eggs
These Air Fryer Poached Eggs are an easy, hands-off way to enjoy perfectly tender egg whites with beautifully runny yolks. They’re ideal for avocado toast, breakfast bowls, salads, or Eggs Benedict.
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp butter or cooking spray (for greasing ramekins)
- 4 tbsp hot water (2 tbsp per ramekin)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Optional Toppings
- Chopped fresh chives
- Fresh parsley
- Red pepper flakes
- Everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Lightly grease 2 small oven-safe ramekins with butter or cooking spray.
- Add 2 tablespoons of hot water to each ramekin.
- Crack one egg into each ramekin, being careful not to break the yolk.
- Carefully place the ramekins into the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for:
- 5–6 minutes for a very runny yolk
- 6–7 minutes for a jammy yolk
- 7–8 minutes for a firmer yolk
- Remove the ramekins carefully using oven mitts.
- Run a small spoon or silicone spatula around the edge of each egg to loosen it.
- Lift the eggs out gently with a slotted spoon, allowing any excess water to drain.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and your favorite toppings before serving.
Tips
- Use hot water in the ramekins to help the eggs cook evenly.
- Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model and the size of the eggs.
- For the best results, cook only a few eggs at a time so the hot air circulates properly.
- Serve immediately for the creamiest yolk.
