Ingredients
- 500 g (1 lb) lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 packet (30 g) taco seasoning
- ¼ cup (60 ml) water
- 4 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
- ½ cup (120 g) salsa
- ½ cup (120 g) sour cream (for serving)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
- 1 small tomato, diced
- 1 sliced jalapeño (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3–5 minutes.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the garlic, taco seasoning, and water. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Lightly grease a small air fryer-safe baking dish or cake pan.
- Place one tortilla in the bottom of the dish. Spread a layer of the beef mixture, a spoonful of salsa, and a sprinkle of cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining tortillas, finishing with cheese on top.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are lightly crisp.
- Let the tray bake rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
