Air Fryer Hot Dogs
Air fryer hot dogs are quick, juicy, and perfectly browned in just minutes. The hot dogs develop a lightly crisp exterior while staying tender inside, and the buns become warm and lightly toasted.
Ingredients
- 4 hot dogs (beef, pork, turkey, or your favorite variety)
- 4 hot dog buns
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for the buns)
Optional Toppings
- Ketchup
- Yellow or Dijon mustard
- Relish
- Chopped onions
- Sauerkraut
- Pickle slices
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Crispy bacon bits
- Jalapeño slices
- Chili
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Using a sharp knife, make 3–4 shallow diagonal slits on each hot dog. This helps them cook evenly and gives them a grilled look.
- Arrange the hot dogs in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 5–6 minutes, turning halfway through, until heated through and lightly browned.
- Place the hot dogs into the buns. If desired, lightly butter the buns.
- Return the assembled hot dogs to the air fryer and cook for 1–2 minutes until the buns are warm and lightly toasted.
- Add your favorite toppings and serve immediately.
