Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Drumsticks
These Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Drumsticks are perfectly seasoned with a crispy, golden skin and juicy, tender meat. They’re an easy, family-friendly dinner that’s ready in about 30 minutes with minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
Optional Garlic Butter Finish
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Pat the chicken drumsticks completely dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- Add the drumsticks and toss until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each piece.
- Air fry for 10 minutes.
- Turn the drumsticks over and continue cooking for 10–12 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- For extra-crispy skin, increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
- If desired, mix the melted butter, garlic, and parsley, then brush over the hot drumsticks just before serving.
