Air Fryer Cookie Dough Puff Pastry

Flaky, buttery puff pastry wrapped around rich cookie dough and air-fried until golden brown, then finished with a light dusting of powdered sugar or a drizzle of chocolate. This quick and indulgent dessert is crispy on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside.

Ingredients
For the Pastries
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 8 tablespoons heat-treated edible cookie dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (optional)
Optional Fillings
- ½ cup chocolate chips
- ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons caramel sauce
For Topping
- Powdered sugar
- Melted chocolate
- Caramel sauce
- Vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry slightly on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into 8 equal squares.
- Place 1 tablespoon of heat-treated edible cookie dough in the center of each square. Add chocolate chips or other optional fillings if desired.
- Fold each square into a triangle or rectangle and press the edges firmly with a fork to seal.
- Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar, if using.
- Arrange the pastries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and deeply golden.
- Let the pastries cool for 5 minutes before serving, as the filling will be very hot.
- Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate or caramel sauce.

Tips
- Use only heat-treated edible cookie dough in this recipe. Traditional raw cookie dough containing untreated flour and raw eggs is not safe to eat.

- Seal the pastry edges well with a fork to keep the filling inside.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 325°F (160°C) for 2–3 minutes to restore the crisp pastry.
