Air Fryer Cod
This air fryer cod is flaky, tender, and perfectly seasoned with a lightly crisp exterior. It’s a quick, healthy dinner that’s ready in under 20 minutes.
Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets (5–6 oz / 140–170 g each)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp dried parsley
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp lemon zest (optional)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.
- Brush both sides with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, salt, pepper, and lemon zest.
- Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over both sides of the cod.
- Place the fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them.
- Air fry for 8–10 minutes, depending on thickness, until the fish flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Tips
- Thicker fillets may need 1–2 extra minutes.
- Avoid overcrowding the basket for even cooking.
- A light spray of oil helps create a beautifully golden finish.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of Cajun seasoning or Parmesan cheese before cooking.
