Ingredients
For the Fajitas
- 1½ pounds (680 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Juice of 1 lime
For Serving
- 8 small flour or corn tortillas, warmed
- Sour cream
- Guacamole
- Salsa or pico de gallo
- Shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- Lime wedges
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the chicken, bell peppers, onion, olive oil, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook in batches if needed to avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking, until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Squeeze the fresh lime juice over the fajita mixture and toss gently.
- Serve the chicken and vegetables in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings.
