Air Fryer Chicken Breast
Perfectly juicy on the inside with a flavorful, lightly crispy exterior, this air fryer chicken breast is an easy weeknight meal that’s ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. If they’re very thick, pound them to an even thickness (about ¾ inch).
- Rub the chicken with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle evenly over both sides of the chicken.
- Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overlapping.
- Air fry for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken.
- Cook for another 6–10 minutes, depending on thickness, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Transfer to a plate and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Tips
- Use a meat thermometer for perfectly cooked chicken.
- Avoid overcrowding the basket for even cooking.
- Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes to 4 hours for extra flavor.
- Add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving for a bright finish.
