Ingredients
- 2 slices thick bread (Texas toast or sourdough works well)
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Lightly butter both slices of bread.
- Use the back of a spoon to gently press the center of each slice, creating a shallow well.
- Sprinkle half of the cheese around the edges of each slice.
- Carefully crack one egg into the center of each bread slice.
- Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, if using.
- Place the bread in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 6–8 minutes, depending on how runny you like the yolk.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top during the last 1–2 minutes of cooking and continue air frying until melted.
