Air fryer baked potatoes are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and way faster than oven-baking
Ingredients
- 2–4 medium potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold work best)
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt (to taste)
- Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, cheese, chives, bacon bits
Instructions
1. Prep the potatoes
- Wash and scrub potatoes well
- Pat dry
- Prick all over with a fork
2. Oil and season
- Rub each potato with olive oil
- Sprinkle with salt
3. Air fry
- Preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F)
- Cook for 30–40 minutes (depending on size)
- Shake basket or turn potatoes halfway
4. Check doneness
- Insert a fork—it should slide in easily
- If not soft, cook 5–10 minutes more
5. Serve
- Slice open and fluff the inside with a fork
- Add your favorite toppings
Tips for Best Results
- Don’t overcrowd the basket
- Larger potatoes need a few extra minutes
- For extra crispy skin, rub with a bit of coarse salt
