Crispy Fried Mushrooms
Golden, crunchy on the outside and juicy inside — perfect as an appetizer or snack.
Ingredients (Serves 4)

16 oz whole button or cremini mushrooms

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs
-
2 tbsp milk
-
1½ cups seasoned breadcrumbs (or panko for extra crunch)

1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp paprika
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
1️⃣ Prep mushrooms
Wipe clean with a damp paper towel. Trim stems if needed. Keep them dry.
2️⃣ Set up breading station

Bowl 1: Flour

Bowl 2: Eggs + milk (whisked)

Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs + garlic powder + paprika + salt + pepper
3️⃣ Coat

Dredge mushrooms in flour

Dip in egg mixture

Roll in seasoned breadcrumbs
Press gently so coating sticks well.
4️⃣ Fry
Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
Fry in batches 3–4 minutes until deep golden brown.
Don’t overcrowd.
5️⃣ Drain & serve
Place on paper towels. Sprinkle lightly with salt while hot.
Extra Crispy Tips

Double-dip (egg + breadcrumbs twice) for thicker crust.

Use panko instead of regular breadcrumbs.

Let coated mushrooms rest 10 minutes before frying.
