Carnivore Crepes
These Carnivore Crepes are soft, thin, and flexible, made with just a few animal-based ingredients. They’re perfect for a carnivore or keto lifestyle and can be enjoyed with savory fillings or simply topped with butter.
Ingredients
- 4 large eggs
- 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 2 tbsp melted butter (plus more for cooking)
- Pinch of salt
Optional Savory Fillings
- Sliced ham
- Cooked bacon
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Scrambled eggs
- Smoked salmon
Optional Toppings
- Butter
- Sour cream
- Shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Add the eggs, cream cheese, heavy cream, melted butter, and salt to a blender.
- Blend for 30–60 seconds until completely smooth.
- Let the batter rest for 5 minutes to allow any air bubbles to settle.
- Heat a nonstick skillet (8–10 inches) over medium-low heat and lightly grease it with butter.
- Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the center of the pan, immediately swirling it to form a thin, even layer.
- Cook for 1½–2 minutes, until the edges begin to lift and the underside is lightly golden.
- Carefully flip the crepe and cook for 30–60 seconds on the other side.
- Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter, adding more butter to the pan as needed.
- Serve warm with butter or your favorite carnivore-friendly fillings.
Tips
- Keep the heat at medium-low to prevent the crepes from browning too quickly.
- If the batter thickens while resting, whisk in 1–2 tablespoons of heavy cream.
- Use a flexible silicone spatula for easy flipping.
- Stack cooked crepes under a clean kitchen towel to keep them soft.
