Ingredients
Peanut Butter Layer
- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups (200 g) graham cracker crumbs
- 2 cups (250 g) powdered sugar
- 1 cup (250 g) creamy peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Chocolate Topping
- 1½ cups (255 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¼ cup (60 g) creamy peanut butter
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, peanut butter, and vanilla until well combined.
- Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared pan.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and ¼ cup peanut butter.
- Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is smooth.
- Spread the chocolate mixture evenly over the peanut butter layer.
- Refrigerate for 2–3 hours, or until fully set.
- Lift the bars out using the parchment paper and cut into squares with a sharp knife.
Tips
- Chill the bars well before slicing for clean, neat edges.
- Run your knife under hot water and wipe it dry between cuts.
- Use natural peanut butter only if it’s well stirred, as oily varieties may make the bars too soft.
- Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top before chilling for a delicious sweet-and-salty finish.
