Air Fryer Poached Eggs
These Air Fryer Poached Eggs are perfectly cooked with tender whites and deliciously runny yolks. They’re an easy, hands-off breakfast that’s ready in just a few minutes using ramekins and your air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tbsp hot water (2 tbsp per ramekin)
- Nonstick cooking spray or a little butter (for greasing)
Optional Seasonings & Toppings
- Salt and black pepper
- Chopped fresh chives or parsley
- Red pepper flakes
- Everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Lightly grease 2 small oven-safe ramekins with cooking spray or butter.
- Add 2 tablespoons of hot water to each ramekin.
- Crack one egg into each ramekin, taking care not to break the yolk.
- Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for:
- 5–6 minutes for a very runny yolk
- 6–7 minutes for a jammy yolk
- 8–9 minutes for a fully set yolk
- Carefully remove the ramekins using tongs or oven mitts.
- Run a small spoon around the edge of each egg and gently lift it out.
- Season with salt, pepper, and your favorite toppings before serving.
Tips
- Cooking times may vary slightly depending on your air fryer model and the size of the eggs.
- Use hot water to help the egg whites cook evenly.
- Check the eggs a minute early the first time you make them, then adjust the time to suit your preferred yolk consistency.
- Silicone muffin cups or oven-safe custard cups also work well.
