Ingredients
- 2 large Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Optional Dipping Sauces
- Ranch dressing
- Garlic aioli
- Sour cream
- Ketchup
- Spicy mayo
Instructions
- Wash and scrub the potatoes well, then slice them into ¼-inch (6 mm) rounds.
- Soak the potato slices in cold water for 20–30 minutes to remove excess starch.
- Drain and pat the potatoes completely dry with paper towels.
- Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3 minutes.
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.
- Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 15–18 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through cooking.
- During the last 2 minutes, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if using.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Tips
- Soaking the potatoes helps create a crispier texture.
- Dry the slices thoroughly before seasoning to ensure even browning.
- Avoid overcrowding the basket so hot air can circulate around each slice.
- For extra crispiness, lightly spray the potatoes with oil halfway through cooking.
