Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef
These Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef are loaded with seasoned beef, melted cheese, crisp vegetables, and your favorite toppings, all wrapped in a warm tortilla and toasted until golden. They’re perfect for lunch, dinner, or meal prep.
Ingredients
For the Beef Filling
- 1 lb (450 g) lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- ¼ cup water
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 large tomato, diced
- ½ cup diced red onion
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup salsa
- 1 avocado, sliced (optional)
Optional Toppings
- Jalapeño slices
- Chopped cilantro
- Sliced black olives
- Hot sauce
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the onion and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
- Warm the tortillas slightly to make them easier to fold.
- Divide the beef evenly among the tortillas.
- Top with shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, sour cream, salsa, and avocado, if using.
- Fold in the sides and roll up each tortilla tightly.
- Toast the wraps in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden and crispy. Alternatively, cook them in a 375°F (190°C) air fryer for 4–5 minutes, turning halfway through.
