Air Fryer Poached Eggs
Making poached eggs in the air fryer is an easy, mess-free way to enjoy perfectly set whites with soft, runny yolks. They’re ideal for breakfast, avocado toast, salads, or Eggs Benedict.
Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons hot water (2 tablespoons per ramekin)
- Cooking spray or a little butter, for greasing the ramekins
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional Garnishes
- Chopped fresh chives or parsley
- Red pepper flakes
- Everything bagel seasoning
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Lightly grease two small oven-safe ramekins.
- Pour 2 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin.
- Carefully crack one egg into each ramekin.
- Place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 5–7 minutes, depending on how runny you like the yolk:
- 5 minutes: Very runny yolk
- 6 minutes: Soft, jammy yolk
- 7 minutes: Mostly set yolk
- Carefully remove the ramekins using tongs or oven mitts.
- Use a slotted spoon to lift out the eggs and drain any excess water.
- Season with salt and pepper, garnish as desired, and serve immediately.
