- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Juice of ½ lemon
For the Asparagus
- 1 pound (450 g) fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For Garnish
- Lemon wedges
- Chopped fresh parsley
- Freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- In a large bowl, toss the salmon cubes with the olive oil, garlic, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.
- In a separate bowl, toss the asparagus with the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Arrange the asparagus in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Place the salmon bites beside or on top of the asparagus if there is enough space without overcrowding. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket or turning the salmon halfway through cooking, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is crisp-tender.
- Transfer to serving plates.
- Garnish with chopped parsley, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, and grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
Serving Suggestions
- Steamed rice
- Quinoa
- Garlic mashed potatoes
- Mixed green salad
- Roasted baby potatoes
- Crusty bread
Tips
- Cut the salmon into evenly sized cubes for uniform cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure crisp edges.
- Thicker asparagus spears may need an extra 1–2 minutes of cooking time.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3–4 minutes. Avoid overcooking to keep the salmon moist.
