Spaghetti Bolognese-Style

400 g spaghetti

500 g ground beef

2 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried basil

½ tsp black pepper

Salt to taste

½ tsp sugar (optional, balances acidity)

Fresh parsley or basil (optional)

Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the pasta

Boil salted water.

Cook spaghetti until al dente (usually 8–10 minutes).

Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
2️⃣ Make the sauce

Heat olive oil in a pan.

Sauté onion until soft, then add garlic.

Add ground beef and cook until browned.

Stir in tomato paste and cook 1 minute.

Add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and sugar.

Simmer 15–20 minutes until thickened.
3️⃣ Combine

Add drained spaghetti to the sauce.

Toss well, adding a splash of pasta water if needed for silkiness.
