Crock Pot BBQ Pulled Chicken

Ingredients
- 2 pounds (900 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1½ cups barbecue sauce
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the bottom of the crock pot.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6–7 hours or High for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds.
- Remove the chicken from the crock pot and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir well to coat it in the barbecue sauce.
- Let it cook for an additional 15–20 minutes on Low so the chicken absorbs more flavor.
- Serve hot.
