Ingredients
For the Chicken
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
For the Fries
- 1 lb (450 g) frozen French fries
- Cooking spray (optional)
Toppings
- 2 cups (225 g) shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese
- 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Jalapeño slices (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Fries
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
- Arrange the frozen fries in a single layer in the basket.
- Air fry for 15–18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Cook the Chicken
- While the fries cook, toss the chicken with the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Air fry the chicken at 380°F (193°C) for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Assemble
- Place the cooked fries in an oven-safe dish or air fryer-safe pan.
- Top with the cooked chicken, shredded cheese, and crumbled bacon.
- Melt the Cheese
- Return the dish to the air fryer and cook at 360°F (180°C) for 2–3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Finish and Serve
- Top with green onions, parsley, sour cream, and jalapeños if desired.
- Serve immediately while hot.
