Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 4 tablespoons hot water (2 tablespoons per ramekin)
- Nonstick cooking spray or a little butter
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional Toppings
- Chopped chives or parsley
- Red pepper flakes
- Everything bagel seasoning
- Grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Lightly grease two small oven-safe ramekins.
- Add 2 tablespoons of hot water to each ramekin.
- Crack one egg into each ramekin.
- Carefully place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for:
- 5–6 minutes for a very runny yolk
- 6–7 minutes for a soft, jammy yolk
- 7–8 minutes for a firmer yolk
- Remove the ramekins carefully—they will be hot.
- Use a slotted spoon to lift out the eggs and drain any excess water.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
Tips
- Cooking times may vary by air fryer model and the size of the eggs, so check them a minute early the first time.
- Using hot water helps the egg whites cook more evenly.
- Silicone muffin cups or small oven-safe dishes also work well.
- For easy release, run a small spoon around the edge before lifting out the egg.
