Here’s an easy, comforting Crockpot Chicken and Gravy recipe that serves 4–6.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 2 packets chicken gravy mix (about 0.87 oz each)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1½ cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: ½ teaspoon dried thyme or parsley
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the bottom of your slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together the gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, and optional herbs.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken.
- Cook:
- Low: 6–7 hours
- High: 3–4 hours
- Remove the chicken and shred it with two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir into the gravy. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes before serving.
Serve with
- Mashed potatoes
- White rice
- Egg noodles
- Biscuits
- Steamed green beans or corn
Tip: If you’d like a richer gravy, stir in 2–4 ounces of cream cheese during the last 30 minutes of cooking. If the gravy is too thick, add a little extra chicken broth until it reaches your desired consistency.
