Air Fryer Ribeye Steak
Enjoy a perfectly juicy, tender Air Fryer Ribeye Steak with a beautifully browned crust in less than 20 minutes. Finish it with garlic herb butter for steakhouse-quality flavor at home.
Ingredients (Serves 2)
- 2 ribeye steaks (10–12 oz / 280–340 g each, about 1 inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Garlic Herb Butter (Optional)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
- ½ teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Steaks
- Remove the steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking.
- Pat them dry with paper towels.
- Rub with olive oil, then season evenly with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
2. Preheat the Air Fryer
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
3. Air Fry
Place the steaks in the basket in a single layer, leaving space around each steak.
Cook according to your preferred doneness:

4. Rest
- Transfer the steaks to a plate.
- Top with the garlic herb butter, if using.
- Tent loosely with foil and let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
Garlic Herb Butter
Mix the softened butter, garlic, parsley, and rosemary or thyme until well combined. Spoon onto the hot steaks just before resting.
