Air Fryer Ham and Cheese Sandwich
A crispy, golden sandwich with melty cheese and savory ham, made in the air fryer in just minutes. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a quick snack.
Ingredients
- 4 slices sandwich bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
- 4 slices cheddar, Swiss, provolone, or mozzarella cheese
- 4–6 slices deli ham
- 2 tbsp softened butter or mayonnaise
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- ½ tsp dried parsley (optional)
- Dijon mustard or honey mustard (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat
- Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3 minutes.
- Assemble the Sandwiches
- Spread butter or mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread, buttered side down.
- Add a slice of cheese, the ham, another slice of cheese, and mustard if using.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
- Air Fry
- Place the sandwiches in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 4–5 minutes.
- Carefully flip and cook for another 3–5 minutes, until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve
- Let the sandwiches rest for 1–2 minutes before slicing.
- Cut in half and serve warm.
