Here’s how to make Macaroni Cheese in your Air Fryer — creamy inside, golden and crispy on top
Air Fryer Mac & Cheese
Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

2 cups milk (warm)

1½–2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup mozzarella (optional, extra stretch)

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp garlic powder (optional)

½ cup breadcrumbs (for topping)

1 tbsp melted butter (for topping)
Instructions
1️⃣ Cook the Pasta

Boil macaroni in salted water until just al dente.

Drain and set aside.
2️⃣ Make the Cheese Sauce

Melt butter in a saucepan.

Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.

Slowly add warm milk, whisking constantly until thickened (3–5 minutes).

Stir in cheese, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth.
3️⃣ Combine

Mix cooked macaroni with cheese sauce.

Transfer to a greased, air fryer-safe dish.
4️⃣ Add Topping

Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter.

Sprinkle evenly on top.
5️⃣ Air Fry

Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for 8–12 minutes

Cook until top is golden and crispy.
Tips

Don’t overfill your dish — air needs to circulate.
