Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies (Makes ~12)

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

½ cup brown sugar

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 large egg

½–¾ cup chocolate chips
🔹 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
3️⃣ Cream Butter & Sugar

Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.

Add egg and vanilla, mix well.
4️⃣ Combine

Gradually mix in dry ingredients.

Fold in chocolate chips.
5️⃣ Portion & Bake

Scoop 1–2 tbsp dough per cookie onto baking sheet (leave space to spread).

Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers soft.
6️⃣ Cool & Enjoy

Let cookies cool 5 minutes on sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
Tips

For extra chewy cookies, chill dough 30 minutes before baking.
