A Chocolate Chip Loaf Cake in the Air Fryer is soft, buttery, and packed with melty chocolate—perfect when you don’t want to use an oven
Ingredients
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup oil or melted butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- ½–¾ cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Make the batter
- In a bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until slightly fluffy
- Add milk, oil/butter, and vanilla
- Mix in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
- Fold in chocolate chips (dust them lightly with flour so they don’t sink)
2. Prepare the pan
- Grease a small loaf pan that fits your air fryer
- Pour in the batter (fill only about ¾ full)
3. Air fry
- Preheat to 160°C (320°F)
- Bake for 25–35 minutes
4. Check doneness
- Insert a toothpick—if it comes out clean, it’s ready
- If the top browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil
Pro Tips
- Lower temperature than oven = more even baking
- Don’t open too often—it affects rising
- Let it cool before slicing (it sets better)
Variations
- Double chocolate: Add 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- Nutty: Add walnuts or almonds
- Orange twist: Add a little orange zest
