Air Fryer Fried Chicken
Air Fryer Fried Chicken gives you the crispy taste of classic Fried Chicken but with much less oil. The hot circulating air makes the coating crunchy while keeping the chicken juicy.
Ingredients

6 chicken pieces (drumsticks or thighs)

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tbsp cornstarch

1 tsp salt
-
1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp chili powder (optional)

Cooking spray or 1–2 tbsp oil
Instructions

Marinate the chicken
Put chicken in a bowl with buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for 1–4 hours. -
Prepare the coating
Mix flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder in a bowl. -
Coat the chicken
Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat it well in the flour mixture. Press the coating so it sticks. -
Preheat air fryer
Preheat to 180°C (360°F) for about 3–5 minutes. -
Cook

Place chicken in the air fryer basket.

Lightly spray with oil.

Cook 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Chicken should be golden and crispy.
