Air fryer Brussels sprouts come out crispy on the outside, tender inside, and full of roasted flavor without a ton of oil
Ingredients
- 400–500g Brussels sprouts
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & black pepper
- Optional: garlic powder, paprika, balsamic vinegar, lemon juice
Instructions
1. Prep the sprouts
- Trim the stem ends and remove outer leaves
- Cut in half lengthwise (smaller sprouts cook faster)
2. Season
- Toss with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional spices
3. Air fry
- Preheat air fryer to 200°C (400°F)
- Cook for 12–18 minutes, shaking basket halfway
- Cook longer if you want extra crispy edges
4. Optional finishing touches
- Drizzle with balsamic vinegar or lemon juice
- Sprinkle with parmesan or crushed nuts
Tips for Best Results
- Don’t overcrowd the basket—air needs to circulate
- Cut larger sprouts in quarters for even cooking
- Toss halfway for uniform browning
Flavor Variations
- Sweet & tangy: Add 1 tsp honey or maple syrup before finishing
- Spicy: Add chili flakes or smoked paprika
- Garlic Parmesan: Toss with garlic powder + grated parmesan at the end
